How to Participate

Welcome iStock Exclusives and Getty Images Creative creators!

Participation is easy—just upload your videos and/or images via your Upload account (ESP) to one or more of the four briefs available under
"The Briefs" section.

Please ensure that each brief includes the correct brief code, as entries lacking or with incorrect codes will not be considered for awards. There's no set limit on the number of files or briefs you can submit, but please edit and send us your best only, and make sure they adhere to the brief and are not already in your portfolio.

As the awards are aimed for the Americas region, all content that is submitted must be shot in the Americas,  otherwise it will not be considered eligible for the awards.

The deadline for submission is  November 25, 2024, at 11PM EST.

We suggest uploading your files early to give you enough time review and resubmit in case any of your submissions come back for revision.

We look forward to your entries and wish you the best of luck!

Awards Terms and Conditions
About Video

For this contest and for your portfolio in general, having the best equipment is not a requirement! We want to see your vision, authenticity and creativity in your content, so we accept video created from smartphones and the camera you normally use for your productions. Customers prefer 4K video, however we accept HD video.

We have also recently launched our new Video Vocabulary Guide where you will have access to key information about camera movements, positioning, editing, equipment and much more that can help you elevate and improve your content and keywording.

Important tips for shooting video:
  • Check for visible logos and trademarks, especially those that may become visible when moving the camera;
  • Make planned, motivated camera moves that help tell the video's "story" or emphasize its underlying concept;
  • Use natural post‑production treatments, don't oversaturate colors;
  • Vary your views and compositions, include close‑up details, medium and wide angles;
  • Play with different perspectives such as shots from above, from behind, POV, etc.;
  • Show different times of day in scenarios;
  • Look for good natural light: don't shoot in the dark, flat lighting and avoid overly bright light;
  • Think about copy space when composing your videos;
  • Always check your camera settings before shooting a video;
  • Video lengths between 5 and 30 seconds, but the average is between 10 and 20.
